This is crafted out of "Tessuto Pocono", a tightly woven nylon industrial fabric that was originally developed for military supplies (including tents). Miuccia Prada recognized this nylon for its beauty and durability. She made it her mission in the late 1980's to elevate the material into a luxury resource. (She succeeded.) This vest is such an easy piece to add an intellectual layer to any outfit. However, this piece is not without its complexities –the front is decorated in several pockets (some that zip and some that button shut) and the interior has a removable, quilted liner. Lambskin leather details the shoulders and back.
