The Prada Frankenstein-printed poplin shirt from its Fall/Winter 2019 runway. Sporting a wide Cuban collar, the piece continues the house’s line of bold signature tops. Previous seasons have seen designs such as the sell-out Flame pieces and Christophe Chemin art-covered bowling shirt take the camp collar trend by storm, and this time around, the item is destined for another round of hysteria.
Prada’s FW19 show realized one of the label’s most unusual references to date and saw the return of its boxy graphic shirts in full force. While the front features a bold Frankenstein head repeat graphic, the rear of the shirt is adorned with a dynamic rose graphic panel and the entire piece is contrasted with a green poppy pattern. In true Frankenstein fashion, lightning bolts in yellow and white screws have been added to stand out against the green-on-black print.
